Trials Analysis Engineer – Newcastle / Edinburgh (x6)

We’re seeking talented Trials Analysis Engineers with experience in software-focused trials analysis and system validation . The role involves assessing system performance, analysing large datasets, and supporting verification and validation activities . Experience with Radar systems is preferred , but candidates with expertise in other sensor systems, simulation, or complex system analysis are also encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse large datasets from rig and flight trials to evaluate system and radar performance, raising Systems Problem Reports (SPR) where necessary.
• Apply signal processing, image processing, and object classification techniques to extract actionable insights.
• Investigate system anomalies using real trial data, ensuring performance meets specifications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and prototype cutting-edge defence solutions.
• Contribute to System Verification & Validation (V&V) activities as part of the continuous development/enhancement of radar and sensor systems.

Required Skillset:

• Strong experience with MATLAB, particularly for analysing large datasets.
• Full V-model lifecycle experience, with emphasis on implementation, integration, testing, and V&V.
• Experience in safety-critical systems.
• Understanding of radar or complex sensor systems is beneficial.

Desirable Experience:

• Background in Radar, simulation, automotive, aerospace, or defence environments.
