🚀 Electrical Estimator

Express Recruitment is on the lookout for an Electrical Estimator to join our well-established and diverse client, who provide specialist maintenance, installation and facilities services across a broad range of industry sectors including Industrial, Leisure, Commercial & Residential.

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing detailed estimates, bids and tenders for a wide range of Commercial & Industrial electrical design & build services.

In return, you can expect to receive a fantastic starting salary of up to £45,000 D.O.E. alongside significant opportunities for career progression, due to the growing nature of the business.

Mostly, this is an office-based opportunity, although there will be requirements to attend customer sites to help produce accurate estimations and cost breakdowns.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Produce accurate quotations and cost breakdowns for clients
• Interpret clients’ requirements accurately
• Analyse and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure competitiveness and accuracy
• Assist in value engineering efforts to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality
• Prepare and present estimates, proposals and bid packages to clients
• Liaise with the wider Estimating and Bids team to maximise quality of work
• Liaise with suppliers and procurement teams to ensure relevant materials are stocked
• Prioritise heavy workloads to ensure that clients deadlines are met
• Prepare bill of materials and quotations from client specifications
• Attend pre-bid meetings, cost reviews and tender review meetings

Skills & Qualifications

• Experience within the Commercial Electrical and Building Services sector
• Foundation knowledge of electrical codes, regulations and safety standards
• IT proficient, including Microsoft Office packages, estimating software and AutoCAD
• Ability to read and interpret CAD diagrams, construction drawings and schematics
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work towards tight deadlines
• Full UK driving license
