Tekla Detailer – Light Gauge Steel

Location: Birmingham

Salary: £35,000 – £45,000 (Dependent on Experience)

We’re seeking a Tekla Detailer with experience in light gauge steel detailing to join a growing and forward-thinking engineering team based in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a detailer who’s passionate about precision design, 3D modelling, and producing high-quality fabrication drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and manage detailed 3D models using Tekla Structures for light gauge steel framing systems.
• Produce accurate fabrication drawings, GA drawings, and reports in line with project specifications.
• Liaise with engineers, architects, and project teams to ensure technical coordination and design accuracy.
• Review and check drawings for quality, consistency, and buildability.
• Support design and manufacturing processes, ensuring efficient workflows between office and production.

Requirements:

✅ Proven experience working as a Tekla Detailer , ideally within light gauge or cold-formed steel.

✅ Strong understanding of construction detailing and connection design principles.

✅ Ability to interpret structural and architectural drawings.

✅ Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

✅ Confident communicator, able to work independently and within a team.
