🚀 Technical Food Safety Assistant

Role: Technical Food Safety Assistant (Interim – BP Wellbeing Café)

Location: Hybrid – Milton Keynes (Tues & Wed) + Remote

Contract: 6 months, potential extension

Interview: 1-stage only

About the Role:

We’re looking for a hands-on Technical Specialist to support BP’s Wellbeing Café food range (across 320 UK forecourt sites) during a busy launch period. You’ll help ensure food safety compliance, support new product rollouts, and work closely with both technical and commercial teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support product launches and category rollouts (chilled / ready-to-eat foods)
• Review and approve product specifications and artwork
• Maintain HACCP, SERT, and food safety documentation
• Work closely with suppliers, SGS, and internal technical teams
• Assist with traceability, coding, and launch risk assessments
• Occasional store or supplier visits (mainly office-based role)

What We’re Looking For:

• Degree in Food Science / Technology or related discipline
• HACCP Level 3+ and Food Safety Level 3+
• Experience in chilled, high-risk, or QSR / retail food sectors
• Hands-on technical delivery experience (not audit-heavy)
• Familiarity with brands like Costa, Greggs, or Starbucks is a plus
