Joshua Robert are proud to be partnering with Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) on the appointment of a Head of Project & Building Consultancy to lead their Manchester and Northwest operation.

Their Manchester team sits at the heart of the business, driving regeneration, innovation and commercial excellence across the region’s built environment.


The Opportunity

This is a senior leadership role, responsible for driving the strategic growth and success of the Project & Building Consultancy service line across Manchester and the Northwest.

You will lead a team of project managers and building surveyors, manage key client relationships, and play an active role in shaping LSH’s regional and national business strategy.

The role offers significant autonomy and visibility across the wider business, with the scope to influence growth, innovate service delivery and strengthen LSH’s reputation as a trusted advisor to investors, developers and occupiers.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, grow and manage the Manchester Project & Building Consultancy team
  • Develop and execute a clear business plan for the service line across the Northwest
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities, building strong client relationships and expanding market share
  • Drive commercial performance, ensuring profitability and long term sustainability
  • Deliver a full range of building consultancy services, including:
  • Project Management and Fit Out
  • Technical Due Diligence (TDD) and Acquisition Surveys
  • Dilapidations (Landlord & Tenant)
  • Contract Administration
  • Defect Analysis and Building Pathology
  • Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)
  • Statutory Compliance and Specialist Reporting
  • Ensure the highest technical quality and professional service standards
  • Mentor, coach and develop a high performing team
  • Collaborate with other service lines to deliver integrated solutions to clients


About You

  • Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS or FRICS)
  • Proven leadership experience at Director or Senior Associate level
  • Strong commercial and business development instincts
  • Established client network within the Northwest property and construction market
  • Experience managing and developing professional teams
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to drive growth and deliver results
