Technical Compliance Manager Location: Kent (Bearsted) Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per year Job Type: Full-time About the Role We are working with a leading FMCG business to recruit a Technical Compliance Manager for their Maidstone office. This full-time role will lead compliance across a wide range of products, suppliers, and geographies, ensuring food safety, ethical due diligence, and monitoring environmental impacts while managing and developing a high-performing compliance team. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the Technical Compliance team, setting priorities and ensuring objectives are achieved. Oversee supplier due diligence, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information across internal and customer systems. Manage supplier approval and compliance onboarding processes. Conduct supplier risk assessments and monitor ongoing compliance across all product categories. Oversee chemical surveillance testing schedules and manage supplier recalls and traceability exercises. Maintain accurate approved supplier lists for internal and customer requirements. Develop and implement compliance procedures and internal guidance. Report on compliance performance and sustainability KPIs to senior stakeholders. Collaborate with Technical, Procurement, and Commercial teams to integrate compliance and sustainability objectives. Prepare for and lead customer audits and quarterly HACCP reviews. Skills & Experience Degree in Food Science, Environmental Management, Environmental Science, or a related scientific discipline. Proven experience managing teams with strong leadership skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint. Strong project management, organisational, and analytical skills. Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively across all levels of the business.
