You will manage a high‑performing team comprising senior specialists in Cloud, Datacentre, and Security, as well as IT Services Engineers. Your leadership will shape our journey from traditional infrastructure to a secure, compliant, and scalable hybrid model built around AWS and Oracle Cloud. Operational Excellence

  • Drive automation of patching, backup, and monitoring processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Own the incident and change management processes for infrastructure services.

Security & Compliance

  • Ensure infrastructure aligns with Central Bank of Ireland regulations and ISO 27001 standards.
  • Collaborate with Compliance and Security teams to implement and maintain robust security controls, including endpoint protection, privileged access management, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Lead annual resilience and disaster recovery testing for critical systems.
  • Act as a key technical leader in discussions with Credit Unions, demonstrating alignment of infrastructure with regulatory requirements and security best practices.
  • Communicate infrastructure risks, plans, and strategies clearly to internal stakeholders, including Engineering, Product, and Support teams.
  • Represent the infrastructure function during customer due diligence, audits, and regulatory interactions.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience managing hybrid infrastructure environments with on‑prem and public cloud (AWS and/or Oracle Cloud).
  • Deep technical expertise in virtualization (e.g., VMware), networking, storage, and identity services.
  • Track record of leading and developing high‑performing infrastructure teams.
  • Experience delivering secure and compliant infrastructure in a regulated industry (ideally financial services).
  • Familiarity with infrastructure governance and security frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIS2, Central Bank standards).
  • Strong communication and leadership skills across technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
