🚀 Lecturer

Overview

Full-time, Fixed term - one year (January 2026 to December 2026) Lecturer role at Leicester College. This maternity cover is to consolidate the 16-18 and adult ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) provision.

The Curriculum Area EMES is seeking to appoint a Lecturer to support ESOL delivery across a range of levels and programmes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver ESOL provision across at least two ESOL programme areas.
• Assess students' language level and review their Individual Learning Plans.
• Prepare and complete enrolment, assessment and progression related documentation.
• Prepare students for ESOL Skills for Life or English Functional Skills qualifications across a range of levels (experience would be advantageous).

Qualifications and Requirements

• Hold a full teaching qualification at Level 5 or above, or be willing to work towards obtaining one.
• Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths or the equivalent (e.g., GCSE level C or above, GCSE level 4 or above).
