Locum Consultant General Radiologist with Interest MSK Imaging

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a candidate interested in a locum consultant radiologist post (12 months fixed term) to join our team at Barking Havering and Redbridge University Hospital Trust.

This post covers a gap in general radiology and musculoskeletal imaging due to maternity leave. The primary location is Queen's/King George Hospital, Romford, with potential duties at Barking CDC and St George's CDC, Hornchurch.

Salary: £109,725 to £145,478 per annum.

Responsibilities

• Report musculoskeletal CT and MRI, and perform musculoskeletal ultrasound, image‑guided joint injections, nerve root injections, and arthrograms.
• Report cross‑sectional images for general radiology on MRI and CT scanners at the CDC centres.
• Contribute to the general duty roster, hot reporting sessions, and specialist MDTs.
• Participate in mandatory department meetings and share an on‑call commitment equally with general radiology consultants.
• Maintain a reporting workstation for remote access to images for on‑call purposes.

Qualifications

• Full GMC registration with licence to practice.
• Formal subspecialty training in musculoskeletal imaging or equivalent experience.
• Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists.
• Experience with MRI arthrograms, CT for complex fractures, and ultrasound‑guided injections.
• Capability to perform image‑guided procedures and report multidisciplinary imaging.
