Our client, a market-leading international media group, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Tax Manager to lead their dynamic in-house tax team. This is the number 1 tax role reporting to the Group FC and it is a pivotal and high-visibility position within a business that continues to grow through innovation, digital transformation, and strategic acquisitions.

Responsibilities

• Leading a team of indirect & direct tax professionals
• Leading the group’s tax planning initiatives, ensuring an efficient and compliant global tax structure.
• Managing and optimising corporation tax reliefs and exemptions, including R&D and creative sector incentives.
• Overseeing transfer pricing policies and documentation across multiple jurisdictions.
• Advising on corporate restructurings, integrations, and reorganisations in line with business growth.
• Providing expertise on international tax principles, including permanent establishment, CFC, and BEPS considerations.
• Managing indirect taxes such as VAT, PAYE, and withholding tax (WHT), ensuring compliance and process efficiency.
• Leading tax risk management processes and maintaining effective controls in line with UK and international regulations.
• Supporting M&A tax advisory, including due diligence, transaction structuring, and post‑acquisition integration.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in corporation tax and indirect tax principles
• Leadership experience of a tax team
• Excellent technical knowledge coupled with a pragmatic, business‑focused approach.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex tax concepts for non‑specialists.
