Job Description

Location: Holiday Inn, 40 Hope Street

What is the job? The Food & Beverage Supervisor reports to the Food & Beverage Manager and assists in supervising all aspects of the Restaurant and Bar. The role maintains consistent standards of service, ensuring guest satisfaction and supporting the brand standards of Holiday Inn and hotel targets.

About The Role

Your day to day

  • Lead shift during service as F&B Supervisor
  • Run all areas of responsibility in the absence of the Head of Department, ensuring standards and adequate resources
  • Maintain targets and objectives and align them with department goals
  • Apply Holiday Inn brand standards daily
  • Greet customers, check requirements and pass on relevant information
  • Ensure beverages and food items are prepared and served according to company standards and regulations
  • Own product knowledge of the facilities offered at the hotel
  • Supervise staff on shifts for consistent high service delivery and guest satisfaction
  • Use guest satisfaction scores and measures to meet department quality targets and objectives
  • Handle guest complaints/issues efficiently and timely
  • Comply with company Health and Safety procedures and Safety Risk Audits
  • Keep staff and work areas tidy, safe and report hazards, accidents, loss or damage to management
  • Other ad‑hoc duties – unexpected moments when pulling together to complete a task
  • Follow department and hotel policies and procedures
  • Participate in training and personnel exercises designed to improve standards and performance
  • Perform other duties as assigned and may also serve as Manager on duty

Required Criteria

  • Proven experience of supervising and directing others, with a hands‑on approach
  • Customer service experience
  • Ability to meet deadlines, work under pressure and motivate the F&B team
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • 6 months experience in a similar role
  • Good knowledge of cocktails

Desired Criteria

  • Experience within the hospitality industry as a supervisor
  • 5 GCSEs at Grade C and above to include Maths and English or equivalent qualification
