Overview

Are you passionate about development and delivery of high‑quality written assessments in medical education? Would you be interested in an opportunity to contribute and influence the strategic development of written assessment and support students in academic success within a Medical School? Responsibilities

  • Contributing to and influencing the development of written assessment content throughout the KMMS BMBS programme, ensuring that the programme satisfies GMC requirements for a Primary Medical Qualification
  • Supporting the subject module leaders and administrative staff in development, maintenance and delivery of all written assessments
  • Devise, develop and deliver academic support to students at risk of failing or who have failed assessments
  • Contributing to and influencing preparations for effective internal and external academic quality and governance processes and systems, including those associated with professional, statutory and regulatory bodies

What will you bring to the role?

  • A primary and postgraduate degree in a medical specialty or in a subject closely related to the KMMS BMBS programme
  • Experience of successful assessment design, implementation and evaluation in medical education
  • Experience and understanding of supporting healthcare professional students/trainees with academic difficulties
  • Understanding of current issues in undergraduate medical education
  • Experience of and commitment to academic leadership and management
