🚀 Consultant Paediatrician - neurology and epilepsy

Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic Consultant Paediatrician with neurology and epilepsy specialist interest. This 10PA post is a substantive consultant appointment for a Paediatrician with neurology and epilepsy specialist interest at the West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team of individuals devoted to providing the very best care for our patients.

Responsibilities

The post holder will be expected to provide 3.5 outpatient clinics in neurology and epilepsy per week across Watford General and Hemel Hempstead Hospitals, including multi-disciplinary emergency breakthrough seizure clinics with the Epilepsy Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS).

The post holder will work collaboratively with another consultant with specialist interest in neurology/epilepsy and the Epilepsy CNS to provide in-reach support to inpatients with acute seizures and neurological concerns. The post holder will be expected to provide leadership, training and support to the Epilepsy CNS.

Person specification

Essential

• Full GMC registration
• MRCPCH or equivalent
• Entry on the GMC Specialist Register in Paediatrics - CCT / CESR
• Valid BLS training

Desirable

• Experience of independent practice in management of children with Epilepsy and Neurological conditions
• Ability to acquire skills and training to expand person and team qualities
