🚀 Specialist Podiatrist

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Podiatrist to join the Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust Community Podiatry Team to deliver care to high‑risk patients in the borough of Bexley.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver comprehensive podiatry care plans for patients at high risk of foot complications.
• Assess and treat foot ulceration, nail and soft‑tissue pathology in community, outreach clinics and patient homes.
• Refer to specialist services (vascular, diabetes MDT, acute services) as appropriate.
• Manage a domiciliary ulcer caseload and attend handover with district nurses.
• Participate in clinical audit and quality improvement projects.
• Provide end‑to‑end treatment, including prescription, manufacture and fitting of biomechanical devices.
• Work autonomously, develop individual treatment plans and discharge patients under agreed contracts.
• Rotate through the three specialist podiatry teams (wound care, musculoskeletal, surgical) to update clinical skills.
• Collaborate within multi‑disciplinary teams across primary, secondary and community care.
• Maintain professional standards and support the wider podiatry team.

Qualifications & Experience

• Registered Podiatrist (or equivalent) with a good professional reputation.
• Experience in community podiatry and management of complex foot pathology.
• Strong clinical audit and research capability.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and organisational skills.
• Car essential for travel across the borough of Bexley.
