About The Role

As a Heating & Solar PV Technical Surveyor, youll visit customer properties to carry out detailed surveys that determine the feasibility and best placement for renewable heating systems (Air Source Heat Pumps, Solar PV, and hybrid systems).

Youll play a vital role in supporting our planning department by:

• Providing accurate property surveys.
• Offering clear guidance to customers.
• Ensuring smooth installs with no surprises.
• Helping households cut their energy bills and carbon footprint.

This role is perfect if you enjoy variety, technical work, and providing excellent customer service face to face.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site property surveys for ASHPs, Solar PV, and hybrid systems.
• Assess property structure, layout, and existing heating systems.
• Identify safe, compliant, and efficient installation locations.
• Use drone technology to survey rooftops and hard-to-reach areas.
• Collect accurate data, photos, and measurements for planning.
• Create detailed survey reports for our installation teams.
• Liaise with customers professionally, explaining the process clearly.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong communication & customer service skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in reporting.
• Valid UK driving licence.
• Flexibility to work away when required.
• Self‑motivation, excellent organisation & a proactive attitude.
• Previous experience in heating, renewables, or surveying is desirable.
• Knowledge of ASHPs, Solar PV & hybrid systems is a bonus (training provided).
• Ability to operate drones.
