In this key role, you will support the work of the Safer Slough Partnership (SSP) by leading on the collection, analysis, and reporting of crime and anti-social behaviour data. What you’ll be doing
Are you passionate about using data and intelligence to make communities safer? We are looking for a Public Health Intelligence Officer - Community Safety to join our team and play a pivotal role in tackling crime and improving safety across Slough. Working at the heart of the Safer Slough Partnership, you will use your analytical skills to turn data into insight, helping shape evidence-led strategies and interventions on key issues such as domestic abuse, serious violence, VAWG, and anti-social behaviour. This is an exciting opportunity to influence decision-making, collaborate with a wide range of partners, and ensure our approaches to community safety are firmly rooted in evidence and impact.
Job responsibilities (summary)
- Develop excellent working relationships with internal and external partners to support public health programmes and performance reporting; produce analytical reports for stakeholders including senior managers to inform improvement planning and resource allocation.
- Provide information and support for public health project performance, intelligence, and strategic development of public health intelligence programmes (e.g., JSNA).
- Analyze data from quantitative and qualitative measures across all aspects of work.
- Produce performance analyses to accompany reports (dashboards, presentations, etc.).
- Undertake forecasting, demand management, and needs analysis; undertake ad-hoc project work to support strategic planning and improvement activity.
- Contribute to key documents such as Health & Wellbeing Board papers, needs assessments, health impact assessments, health equity audits, and programme reviews.
