🚀 Senior Guidance Advisor

Overview

The SIA is a Home Office-sponsored regulator of the private security industry, now preparing to enforce Martyn's Law to improve protective security at premises and events across the UK.

Responsibilities

• Deliver guidance products to premises and events under Martyn's Law.
• Work with the private security industry to ensure statutory compliance.
• Coordinate outreach with sectoral bodies and other regulators to raise awareness of the new legislation.
• Develop internal operational guidance in collaboration with other SIA teams.
• Support the regulated community with clear, effective communication.
• Maintain subject matter expertise, analyse new issues and recommend solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience working with legislation and the ability to provide advice and guidance on its application.
• Experience delivering guidance, training or advice services.
• Ability to analyse new issues, evaluate options for action and recommend solutions.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
• Ability to build and maintain effective working and influencing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including on potentially contentious issues.
• Ability to think clearly, work collaboratively, be a great communicator.
