🚀 Materials Analyst

An opportunity has arisen for a Materials Analysis Technician to join a leading engineering organisation on a 3-month temporary contract. This hands-on role will support R&D and production projects, focusing on microscopic analysis and metallurgical investigation of precision components. You’ll work within a busy R&D lab, carrying out materials testing and analysis to support product development and quality improvement. Ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and proven lab-based inspection experience. Key Responsibilities: Perform microscopic and metallurgical analysis of samples and components Prepare specimens and technical reports to support R&D and production teams Support materials validation, damage investigation, and quality checks Assist in prototype coating trials and sample preparation activities Skills & Experience Required: Proven experience in a materials or metallurgical analysis laboratory Strong skills in microscopic inspection and sample preparation Knowledge of analytical and measuring equipment (e.g. metrology tools, microscopes) Organised, methodical, and able to follow laboratory procedures precisely This is a 3-month contract role which will be working 5 days a week onsite working within a high performance engineering environment.
