🚀 Elementary Teacher 1st Grade - Long Term Substitute

Paid Biweekly: $2,790 - $2,883
Duration: November 10th - June 5th
Position Type: Full-Time, Temporary

Bonus: $2,500 paid upon the successful completion of the teaching assignment

Position Overview:
Stratford Schools is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic First Grade Teacher to serve as a long-term substitute for 7 - 8 months. The ideal candidate is comfortable jumping into a classroom mid-year, supporting an established curriculum, and providing a structured, engaging environment that meets the needs of every student. There is potential for continued employment beyond the end of the assignment based on school needs.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver lessons and activities in alignment with the Stratford first-grade curriculum.
• Support students in core subjects including reading, writing, math, and science.
• Maintain a safe, positive, and engaging classroom environment.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and Stratford staff.
• Track student progress and provide feedback as appropriate.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to ensure continuity of instruction.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
• Experience working with elementary-aged children, preferably first grade.
• Strong classroom management skills and ability to follow established routines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
