Location: This is a full-time, in-person driving position based in Cleveland, OH, USA.
Schedule: Employees must work a minimum of 30 hours per week to maintain full-time benefits eligibility. This position averages five days per week (minimum 240 working days per year) , maximizing available driving hours per DOT regulations. Saturday work may be required based on customer needs.
About the Job:
As a Class A Driver , you'll be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers to transport consumer products between various points of origin and destination-both interstate and intrastate. You'll follow all DOT , FMCSA , and company regulations to ensure every load is delivered on time, damage-free, and with complete documentation.

This is an exempt position -not subject to overtime calculations. Compensation is based on work completed during each pay period and calculated as a minimum of 27% of the line haul total for all completed loads with required documentation properly submitted.

In This Role, You Will:
- Load, unload, or assist with the loading/unloading of trailers as needed.
- Transport freight via tractor-trailer, observing all traffic laws and safety procedures.
- Review load assignments, permits, and documentation for full compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Verify pick-up and delivery schedules against available driving hours for safe, timely delivery.
- Secure loads per federal, state, and company requirements (minimum 75% Working Load Limit ) and tarp as needed based on customer requirements.
- Scale loads to verify compliance with weight limits and obtain scale tickets.
- Park equipment in secure, authorized locations per company policy.
- Conduct Pre-Trip, In-Transit, and Post-Trip Inspections of equipment, securement, and product condition.
- Perform daily checks of fluids, tires, lights, and other maintenance items.
- Coordinate service and maintenance schedules with dispatch and maintenance teams.
- Inspect product twice daily while loaded to confirm securement and report any issues immediately.
- Report all accidents, delays, and incidents promptly to dispatch and safety.
- Maintain accurate and compliant logs, records, and delivery signatures.
- Communicate effectively via tablet, Samsara eLog , dispatch system, CB radio, and phone.
- Sleep in the tractor sleeper when necessary.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements:
- Must be at least 23 years of age.
- Valid CDL-A (Commercial Driver's License).
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable over-the-road (interstate and intrastate) tractor-trailer experience.
- At least 12 months of experience hauling similar freight (flatbed steel, dry van, or container).
- No more than 3 moving violations or 2 minor preventable accidents (or a combined total of 4) within the last 3 years.
- Must meet all DOT physical and medical requirements and pass a substance abuse screening.
- No DUI within the past 5 years.
- Basic computer literacy and access to a cell phone preferred.
- Strong situational awareness and adherence to safety best practices.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- Experience with Samsara eLogs or other electronic logging systems.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a professional demeanor with customers and colleagues.
