ABOUT WOMEN'S HOUSING NAVIGATION  
The shelter offers a safe and welcoming environment to women experiencing homelessness in Albuquerque. The center is open year-round and offers meals, a warm overnight bed, and secure under-bed storage. We provide low barrier, trauma-informed case management, job searching and other supportive services. We work to guide guests through a successful exit from shelter to safe, stable housing, and a plan for ongoing support.

In-Person, part-time role, Monday-Friday availability. Scheduling subject to change based on shelter needs and availability. 
ABOUT THE ROLE  
The CPLC New Mexico Community Support Worker in the Local Lead Agency (LLA) program provides housing and support services to people who are referred from all kinds of support services agencies. The Community Support Worker provides individualized and specialized support to participants, focusing on obtaining employment, financial literacy, meeting program expectations, maintaining housing, and increasing academic achievement. 
- Coordinates case management services to participants in LLA program, providing guidance in the apartment search process
- Conducts assessments with participants to determine goals, barriers, resource needs, and other factors related to case planning, acting as a broker for services and referring them to community resources when necessary
- Coaches participants in living independently, including ongoing independent living skills development
- Acts as liaison between participants and landlords to mediate issues, building relationships/partnerships with landlords and outside support services
- Facilitates a Quarterly group for the LLA program participants/Stakeholders' meetings
- Travels into the community for a variety of reasons, such as conducting home visits with participants, providing necessary transportation according to availability, and participating in outreach activities to bring more awareness to the CPLC New Mexico programs.
- Deep understanding of - and commitment to - applying trauma-informed care principles
- Dedicated to working with diverse populations, continuously demonstrating and improving cultural competency and community-building
- Model of true accountability, confidentiality, and professionalism with clients, teammates, leadership, landlords, and community partners
- Practicing great work ethic, such as following through on deadlines, organizing documentation, active listening, communicating effectively and proactively, and managing their calendars so they are able to navigate and adapt to their workload week-to-week
- High School Diploma or GED and 2 years of progressive experience in general office procedures and customer service (Social services and accounting background experience is a plus)
- Preferred: An Associate's Degree or High School Diploma and 2-3 years' experience working in social services or housing support programs
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally as needed
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office and client management software
