Our client is a leading real estate investment (REIT) and asset management firm seeking a Loan Workout, Senior Vice President to join its growing Asset Management team .

This SVP will lead the workout and resolution of complex commercial real estate loans . This role focuses on managing a portfolio of specially serviced CMBS loans and distressed debt assets, while also contributing to underwriting new debt investment opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Manage and resolve non-performing commercial real estate loans with a focus on CMBS and distressed debt assets
• Negotiate and structure complex debt workouts and oversee transactions through closing and legal documentation
• Conduct analysis of collateral positioning, evaluations, and assess restructuring alternatives
• Ensure compliance with servicing agreements, loan documents, regulatory requirements, and reporting standards
• Prepare and present resolution strategies, business plans, and cash flow projections to senior leadership
• Collaborate with attorneys, receivers, property managers, appraisers, and other third-party partners

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, or related
• 8+ years of relevant Loan Workout experience in non-performing distressed commercial real estate loans or debt asset management
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
