Regional Director – Sales & Operations
joe johnson equipment (JJE) is the leading distributor of public works equipment. We provide mobile infrastructure maintenance solutions to municipalities and contractors across Canada and the United States. Our extensive branch network supports sales, rentals, leases, servicing and support for vacuum trucks, refuse and recycling collection vehicles, street sweepers, sewer cleaners and inspection cameras.

Rochester, NY or Albany, NY (Role based in chosen city).
Role Overview
As the Regional Director for New York State, you will develop and execute strategic plans that drive revenue, operational excellence and customer satisfaction across sales, parts and service operations. You will lead a high-performance culture, identify growth opportunities, optimize processes and deliver exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare annual operating plans, goals and objectives for service and parts departments in each branch.
- Provide direction and support to parts and service departments to ensure alignment with company objectives and annual operating plans.
- Monitor branch and department goal progress and keep teams updated on key performance indicators.
- Implement process improvements, training and other measures to improve overall team efficiencies and drive business growth.
- Stay up to date with industry changes and communicate applicable information effectively.
- Partner with HR to hire, onboard and develop new team members.
- Lead, coach and supervise departmental managers to support employee development and branch growth.
- Ensure a “safety first” culture and compliance with Health & Safety regulations and policies.
- Maintain facility operations and recommend capital improvements to enhance customer and employee experience.
- Participate in training and industry events as required.
Sales Leadership
- Establish short- and long-term strategic plans consistent with corporate strategy.
- Analyze regional market conditions and recommend strategies to grow market share.
- Set annual sales goals and develop KPI scorecards for sales representatives.
- Partner with marketing to develop key sales and promotional campaigns.
- Coach and support sales efforts and participate in customer visits.
Qualifications
- Business Administration or related degree, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years in operations and/or sales management within heavy equipment or related industry.
- Proven success leading multiple dealership branches and scaling teams.
- Experience working with municipalities or government entities.
- Solid mechanical aptitude with knowledge of parts and equipment repair processes.
- Previous P&L responsibility and demonstrated financial results.
- Advanced MS Office and dealer management software proficiency.
- Strong time management and travel ability throughout the USA.
- Valid driver’s license with clean record and background check.
