Job Responsibilities

Program Management and Strategic Leadership

  • Member of the Executive Leadership Team working with the DPH Commissioner.
  • Responsible for leading the development, implementation, management, and evaluation of the Department’s Child Health, Women’s Health, Home Visiting, Telemedicine, and Oral Health programs and services.
  • Manage internal operations, including policy and procedure development, personnel functions, training, and workforce development initiatives.
  • Represent the division in meetings with state leadership, external partners, and stakeholders, communicating priorities and program outcomes.
  • Manage legislative inquiries related to division programs, services, and budget items; prepare timely, accurate responses for internal and external stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and ten years of experience managing professional‐level staff and related professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in public health or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, project management abilities, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

DPH accepts educational credentials recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and/or the U.S. Department of Education (DOE) as valid.
