Overview

Position: VP of Business Development at Navista, a Cardinal Health company. Navista is an oncology practice alliance that offers advanced support services and technology to help community oncology practices remain independent and thrive. This is a senior executive leader role responsible for leading strategic growth and development initiatives, expanding the network’s reach, fostering partnerships, expanding service line offerings, and driving overall strategy to support exceptional patient care.

The VP of Business Development will be a seasoned leader and advisor with proven experience partnering with clinicians in oncology and across multiple therapeutic areas. Responsibilities include setting sales targets and marketing goals, developing production and sales plans, driving the organization’s financial health, obtaining new contracts, and overseeing a team of sales executives. This role reports to the SVP/GM of Navista.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the commercial operations and strategy division to develop and execute strategic development plans aligned with the network’s mission and growth objectives
  • Identify opportunities for expansion, partnerships and programmatic enhancements to advance the network’s presence and impact
  • Identify and foster relationships with healthcare providers, research institutions and other key stakeholders
  • Define strategic pipeline including opportunities for growth and new revenue streams, such as service line expansion, entering new markets or developing innovative programs
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications on branding and marketing strategies to enhance visibility and reputation through messaging, promotional materials and public relations initiatives
  • Partner with Corporate Development on identifying and evaluating potential new practices and partnerships
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including internal sales teams, to drive the oncology strategy
  • Responsible for sales operations and leading and developing the sales team
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements
  • Proven track record of leading teams responsible for growth through acquisitions, partnerships, and service line expansion
  • Strong understanding of practice management, operations, and healthcare regulations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, life sciences, or a related field preferred; advanced degree (MBA, Master’s in healthcare administration) preferred
  • 15+ years in an executive strategy and development position, or similar title preferred
  • Demonstrated abilities for success in strategic development and business development, preferably in healthcare, including identifying and evaluating market opportunities and developing expansion plans
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey the network’s mission and impact with physicians, staff and internal stakeholders
  • Familiarity with oncology trends, healthcare regulations, treatment modalities, and research advancements
  • Strong business acumen and financial background to ensure efficient resource allocation and maximize returns on investments
  • Experience with leading and managing diverse teams, including hiring, training and evaluating performance
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to travel up to 50%

Anticipated salary range: $163,000 – 263,235
