🚀 ETL Developer

Mandatory skill: ETL development using Informatica Power Center v10+ , Python

Responsibilities:

1. Profile & analyze source data (Mainframe extracts, flat files, SQL Server, web services, etc.) using Informatica ETL.
2. Analyze and evaluate data sources, data volume, and business rules.
3. Automation, job scheduling, dependencies, monitoring.
4. Extraction, transformation, and load of data using ETL tools.
5. Configure/script business rules and transformation rules in Informatica.
6. Design and develop ETL Informatica jobs as per business requirements.
7. Understand the data model, design the model for EDW, map the data, and run the ETL jobs.
8. Ensure appropriate level of unit test and system test of all deliverables.
9. Understand the deployment process of both Informatica PowerCenter and IICS jobs.
10. Knowledge in version control tools like Bitbucket, Git, etc., and knowledge of branching and check-in of code.
11. Defect fixes for System Test, Operational Acceptance Test, and Production.

Other Skills Required:

1. Good experience in defect tracking tools.
2. Experience in design and implementation of complex ETL processes.
3. Proficient in writing complex SQL queries.
4. Good understanding of traditional RDBMS systems like SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata, etc.
5. Excellent problem solving, debugging, and performance tuning skills.
6. Excellent communication skills.

Qualifications:

Any Graduate with a degree in Engineering/Science. A great communicator of ideas and solutions and a lateral thinker when faced with complex performance or production issues.
