Leidos currently has a full-time opening for a Systems Engineer with COMSEC Manager experience at our Annapolis Junction, MD location.

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to support an important, fast‑paced, mission‑critical program.

Primary Roles And Responsibilities

• Perform a mix of Systems Engineering and COMSEC Manager duties.
• Systems Engineering: work with system and network administrators, manage network encryptors, troubleshoot hardware/software issues.
• COMSEC Manager: manage inventory of COMSEC material, maintain security of receipt, transfer, inventory, accounting, and destruction.
• Assist with recurring inventory, rekey or installation of new devices, update SOPs.
• Brief/debrief users, keep Program Management updated on significant developments.
• Have knowledge of national level policy (CNSSI 4005, 4001, 4003, Policy No.3) and NSA/CSS Policy Manual 3‑16.
• Experience with handling and configuring End Cryptographic Units and fill devices.

Basic Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Security, IT, or another technical field and at least 8 years of relevant experience.
• At least 5 years of COMSEC or COMSEC‑related experience.
• Demonstrated Systems Engineering experience in communication systems, networking, security principles; diagnosing and resolving technical issues; designing/upgrading systems with security focus; supporting deployed communication systems.
• Experience configuring HAIPE In‑line Network Encryptors.
• Minimum 3 years supporting COMSEC activities, including handling and configuring End Cryptographic Units and fill devices.
• Solid understanding of NSA/CSS Policy Manual 3‑16 and control of COMSEC.
• Commitment to best practices, maintenance windows, and change‑control procedures.
• Strong analytical abilities and meticulous work.
• Clearance Required: TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience performing systems engineering functions on a program using Agile methodologies.
• Experience receiving, generating, and distributing electronic keying materials for internal use and external COMSEC accounts.
• Experience maintaining records and files, reporting security incidents, and providing periodic status reports.
