Job Overview
The Task Force Executive Chef is a dynamic hospitality leader who thrives in fast‑paced environments and is passionate about culinary excellence, innovation, and mentorship. Reporting to the Head of F&B, this role provides leadership, stability, and operational continuity across Gravity Haus locations during times of transition, high demand, or leadership vacancies.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and support property culinary teams across multiple locations, ensuring continuity and adherence to Gravity Haus culinary standards.
- Execute daily kitchen operations — including menu planning, purchasing, vendor management, staffing, and training.
- Cross‑train, mentor, and empower teams to elevate their technical skills, efficiency, and collaboration.
- Implement and maintain Gravity Haus culinary systems to ensure operational consistency across properties.
- Oversee food safety, sanitation, and quality assurance — including temperature logs, storage rotation, and compliance with health codes.
- Manage ordering, receiving, and inventory to control food and labor costs within budget parameters.
- Analyze P & L statements and operational reports to make data‑driven decisions and drive profitability.
- Partner with the Corporate Executive Chef and property leaders (GM, F&B Director, etc.) to refine and execute seasonal and local menus.
- Ensure all recipes, training materials, and menu documentation remain current and accurately implemented.
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and inclusive kitchen culture where team members feel valued and motivated.
- Represent Gravity Haus as a brand ambassador — exemplifying our values, passion for the outdoors, and commitment to community.
Who You Are
- Minimum 6 years of progressive culinary experience, including supervisory or management roles in resort, hotel, or upscale restaurant settings.
- Proven success as an Executive Chef or Senior Sous Chef managing high‑volume operations.
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience required.
- Strong understanding of menu engineering, food costing, and budgeting.
- Familiarity with Google Suite, POS/inventory and other industry‑specific technology platforms preferred.
- A hands‑on culinary leader who can confidently run all stations in a high‑volume kitchen with technical precision and creativity.
- Tech‑savvy and adaptable, able to learn and leverage culinary, operations, and reporting platforms.
- A motivator and mentor who leads by example — developing teams through coaching, consistency, and accountability.
- Calm, composed, and solutions‑oriented under pressure; able to balance strategy with execution in variable environments.
- Fluent in English (Spanish a plus) with strong communication skills across all levels of the organization.
- Highly organized with a deep understanding of inventory, cost management, and labor controls to meet financial goals.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work up to 10‑hour shifts.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work in fast‑paced kitchen environments.
- Willingness and ability to travel over 50% of the time (air and ground travel required).
