Director, Business Operations & Strategy (Marketplace Growth)

Jerry.ai is looking for a Director, Business Operations & Strategy (Marketplace Growth) to help scale our core insurance business. This high-visibility role reports directly to our VP of Insurance Operations and owns the systems, strategy, and execution behind Jerry’s quoting engine, automation infrastructure, and carrier performance. Working cross-functionally with product, engineering, and analytics, you will create a seamless user experience and ensure ongoing carrier success to drive critical outcomes for our insurance marketplace (loss ratio, retention, and conversion). This is a unique opportunity to shape the strategy of a category-defining fintech company at scale.

Responsibilities

• Own the systems, strategy, and execution behind Jerry’s quoting engine, automation infrastructure, and carrier performance.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and analytics to improve user experience and carrier outcomes (loss ratio, retention, conversion).
• Scale the insurance marketplace toward ambitious growth milestones (e.g., 5M to 50M customers, $10B business).
• Lead and develop high-performing teams; bring structured problem-solving and first-principles thinking.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (Electrical, Computer, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, etc.).
• 7+ years of management consulting experience from a top firm (McKinsey, Bain, BCG preferred).
• Proven track record hiring and managing high-performing teams.
