Banner University Medical Group is thriving and actively seeking a dynamic & experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our fast-paced, structured, and highly trained Pre-Anesthesia Clinic team in Tucson, Arizona.

Position summary

The ideal candidate has advanced clinical understanding of all organ systems, mastery of physical diagnostic skills, strong intrapersonal skills, excellent bedside manner, aptitude for service recovery, effective listening, multidisciplinary collaboration, and quality-focused improvement skills. This position is open to an experienced NP.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient pre-surgical care to patients to help prevent day-of-surgery delays or cancellations and streamline day-of-surgery workflows for safe patient care.
• Perform comprehensive pre-anesthesia assessments, trigger appropriate consults and lab work, and communicate effectively with other care providers.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support quality improvement and patient-centered care.

Minimum qualifications

• Current Nurse Practitioner Board Certification is required
• 3+ years of Nurse Practitioner experience is required
• Previous pre- and post-operative experience is required
• Prior experience in pharmacology, cardiovascular, or surgery is preferred, but not required

Work schedule

Full-time | 7:00 am – 5:30 pm | Monday to Friday | 4-day, 10-hour shifts | No call, no weekend, no evenings, no holidays
