Job Summary: Prisma Health is seeking a Purchasing Manager to lead and optimize location-based purchasing operations, ensuring quality, efficiency, and financial strength through effective leadership and strategic management.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate with key team members and management regarding purchasing needs and specifications.
• Ensure weekly inventory accuracy and resolve discrepancies prior to submission.
• Negotiate pricing, manage vendor relationships, and ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Review incoming shipments for accuracy against purchase orders.
• Compile and analyze monthly purchasing and inventory reports.
• Utilize Excel and Visual Basic to manage inventory systems and data.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher (preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of related experience in purchasing or procurement.
• Thorough knowledge of purchasing procedures, food, beverage, and printing products.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ordering systems.
• Strong understanding of food and inventory trends with an operational focus.
• Experience with P&L accountability and contract-managed services is a plus.
• Excellent organizational, data-entry, and computer skills with attention to detail.
• Experience in Healthcare nutrition, food service, or food industry purchasing is strongly preferred.
• ServSafe certification is highly desirable.
