First Lock and Security Technologies provides residential and commercial locksmith services to Silicon Valley and the surrounding areas.

Role Description

Locksmith Shop Manager; responsible for performing and managing locksmith service activities in our Los Altos, CA shop. This role includes daily open and close procedures, organizing and maintaining shop inventory, maintaining tools and machinery, providing general support to our field service technicians, performing locking locksmith services to walk‑in customers—including diagnostic work, repairs, rekey and product sales—managing the shop cash register, generating customer invoices, and answering customer inquiries both face‑to‑face and via telephone.

Direct customer interaction includes advising clients on security product options and recommendations that best meet their needs. The ability to communicate clearly, confidently and with integrity is essential. Customer satisfaction, politeness and professionalism are required.

Required Qualifications

• Knowledgeable in residential and commercial security hardware products
• Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills
• Proven customer‑facing service experience
• Ability to lift ~25 pounds on a regular basis (toolboxes, supplies, etc.)
• Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail
• Good written communication skills, including basic email functions
• Good time‑management skills and organizational skills
• Ability to identify needs and prioritize workflow
• Ability to provide services in accordance with company policies and service level expectations
• California driver’s license in good standing
• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Experience

• State of California issued locksmith license strongly desired
• 2 years of experience in providing locksmith services
• Manufacturer product certifications ideal (Medeco, Schlage/Primus)
