Our mission is to promote American values through the creative use of digital media, technology and edu‑tainment. We’re proud to be voted among the “Best Place to Work in Los Angeles” by the LA Business Journal 4 years in a row.

The Director, eCommerce will own the day‑to‑day operations and growth of PragerU’s Ecommerce store, which generates over half a million dollars in annual revenue. This role will focus on expanding our in‑house marketing lists through off‑channel initiatives while ensuring a seamless and engaging shopping experience. The Director will oversee backend functionality, keep storefronts updated, and implement best practices to optimize performance, delight customers, and maximize revenue while getting the best products featured on the platform.

Applicants must have prior experience managing an Ecommerce store and a strong understanding of online performance marketing, and manage product design soup‑nuts. If you do not meet these requirements, we kindly ask that you not apply.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Act as the internal champion for promoting PragerU’s merchandise and in‑house marketing efforts (email lists, promotions, pricing)
  • Optimize and maintain the Shopify store, including site design, product placement, and overall user experience
  • Oversee the full merchandising process, including concepting, evaluating and managing product options (e.g., apparel, hats, branded items), keeping a close eye on macro trends
  • Manage the end‑to‑end customer journey, including customer service support as needed
  • Integrate the store into the larger PragerU ecosystem through text campaigns, email campaigns, pop‑ups, and social media promotion
  • Maintain accurate product information within the eCommerce platform, including titles, descriptions, images, and pricing updates
  • Develop and expand off‑channel opportunities to capture qualified leads and grow both donor and non‑donor databases
  • Manage Amazon sales and other direct marketing channels as part of overall growth strategy

Successful Candidates Will Possess

  • Strong proficiency with eCommerce tools, especially Shopify
  • Solid understanding of basic design principles with experience using Photoshop; comfortable working with different file sizes and formats (we have an in‑house graphic design team, but you must be comfortable experimenting with and overseeing design creations)
  • 5+ years of experience in merchandising, project management, eCommerce, logistics/supply chain, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Working knowledge of inventory management and sales reporting
  • Strong analytical and retail math skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and communication/organizational skills
  • Self‑starter with the ability to manage multiple projects independently and meet deadlines
  • Familiarity with HTML and CSS a plus
  • Commitment to PragerU’s mission of promoting American values, freedom, and critical thinking
