Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide institutional leadership in creating and maintaining a culture that prioritizes evidence-based student learning and institutional effectiveness.
• Coordinate assessment initiatives and activities across campus, and, when appropriate, across the NMSU system.
• Develop and direct assessment activities needed for compliance with HLC accreditation and other specialized accreditations.
• Provide leadership and training in academic and non-academic student learning assessment, and other outcome assessment practices.
• Support continuous academic program assessment and improvement of student learning through consultation, mentoring, and hands‑on training.
• Interpret assessment findings and prepare an annual assessment report and other documentation to influence institutional decision‑making and policy development.
• Promote internal and external communication of assessment results.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Experience: Five (5) years of teaching at a university level or professional experience directly related to the duties outlined.
• Knowledge: Assessment practices and procedures.
