Position Overview

The Director of Supply Chain will develop, implement, and monitor processes to optimize the supply chain and material processes for the Business Unit. This individual will lead in interfacing with strategic suppliers and leveraging relationships for continuous improvement of inventory velocity and product costing.

Responsibilities

1. Lead, coach, and mentor a team of Planning, Procurement, and Materials professionals.
2. Manage and optimize the Demand Management and Planning Processes for the business unit.
3. Implement best practices in supply chain and inventory management to drive results, satisfy customers, reduce costs, and improve inventory performance.
4. Report and drive key supply chain performance metrics.
5. Ensure predictability and consistency of results through Standard Work.
6. Support corporate strategic initiatives.
7. Manage customer inventory levels, turns, projections, and inventory optimization.
8. Support team members in large or complex projects, such as new customer introductions.
9. Participate as a member of the Business Unit Leadership Team.
10. Build positive relationships with internal and external customers.
11. Refine business processes to add value.
12. Manage supplier relationships, including dealing with issues, initiating/resolving corrective actions, and conducting supplier audits.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.
