You aren’t afraid of messy data and are comfortable working in a fast‑paced, production‑oriented environment. Our team members collaborate often but are given a chance to complete projects independently.

In this position you will

  • Collaborate with leadership to design and evaluate experiments and make recommendations based on the findings
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover insights that drive program improvements and inform decision‑making
  • Develop and deploy machine learning models, and data‑driven tools that enhance predictive analytics capabilities and program outcomes
  • Explore new & existing data sets, bringing the curiosity and detail orientation required to deeply understand how data flows through our system
  • Design and implement processes to clean, transform, and validate data, ensuring every analysis is built on a foundation of accuracy and reliability
  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and delivery of analytics products and services
  • Collaborate with engineers, analysts, data scientists, program managers, and external stakeholders to troubleshoot problems and proactively create solutions
  • Strive to support team excellence by documenting processes and staying up to date with new approaches
  • Work both independently and as part of a team to deliver accurate products on short deadlines
  • Complete such other reasonable tasks as may be assigned by management

What we are seeking

  • 4+ years of applied experience working with structured/unstructured data.
  • An undergraduate degree or higher in a quantitative field or equivalent technical training.
  • Experience in and ability to apply your knowledge of foundations of statistics and modeling (distributions, parameter estimation, confidence intervals, and tests, etc.)
  • Experience working through ambiguity and making decisions with imperfect data
  • Ability to hone in on the right questions to answer and perform analyses that help connect the dots for our client and internal team
  • Advanced understanding of a statistical programming language such as R or Python
  • Experience building predictive models using regression and machine learning techniques
  • Ability to manipulate data with SQL
  • Experience with experimental design and causal inference
  • Familiarity with Git for version control and collaborative development
  • Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to a non‑technical audience, both in writing and verbally
  • A high attention to detail and the ability to effectively manage and prioritize several tasks or projects concurrently
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills when working with team members of varied backgrounds, roles, and functions
  • Passion in applying your skills to our social mission to problem‑solve and collaborate within a cross‑functional team environment
  • The ability to successfully attain and maintain a Federal Public Trust background investigation that our government clients require; this includes a requirement that the individual has U.S. Citizenship, or U.S. residency for three of the past five years (minimum 36 of the past 60 months).
