Job Opportunity: Development Director

The Children’s Home Society is seeking a Development Director who will be responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of fundraising, marketing, and community awareness of the agency. This role will further support the activities of the Board of Directors and its committees.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Providing leadership and direction to initiate and seek out a wide range of funding for the Society’s programs through a variety of public, private, and governmental sources.
2. Working with the Communications Director on marketing efforts, including newsletters, brochures, flyers, community reports, media outlets, internet, etc.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s degree in a related field with demonstrated knowledge of nonprofit administrative functions and marketing.
2. Criminal and child abuse registry check.
3. Background check that meets agency approval.
4. Availability to work irregular hours.
5. Willingness and ability to travel throughout the state.
6. Basic knowledge of and commitment to child welfare services.
7. Ability to work under pressure and multitask.
8. Good written and oral communication skills.
9. Ability to use Adobe and Microsoft software.
10. Driver’s license, available automobile, and insurance coverage as required by law and agency.
