LOCATION OF POSITION: MDH, Deer's Head Hospital Center, Salisbury, MD
Main Purpose of Job: This position works in collaboration with the Director of Nursing - CCF, Chief Quality Officer, and Chief Nursing Officer. This position will use a broad based clinical knowledge, accountable for the development, maintenance, and interpretation of data to support Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) across Deer's Head Hospital Center (DHHC) and identifies opportunities for improvement in the delivery of care resulting in optimal outcomes. This position is accountable for promoting compliance with accreditation and other regulatory standards. This position supports and optimizes the use of the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a health-related field from an accredited college or university.
- Experience: Four years of experience as a Registered Nurse to include two years in the Medical option. One year of experience in the Medical option must have been in a supervisory, administrative, consultative or teaching capacity.
- Notes:
- 1. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Master’s degree in Nursing or a health-related field from an accredited college or university for two years of the required general experience.
- 2. Candidates may substitute two years of additional experience as a Registered Nurse in the Medical option for the required education.
- 3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Nursing classifications or Nursing and Hospital Administration specialty codes in the Nursing field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.
Desire/Preferred Qualifications
- The desired candidate should possess the following:
- Experience related to facilitating Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement projects including auditing, data collection, analysis, and reporting
- Proficiency working with Microsoft Office, Google Suites, and web-based systems utilized for data reporting and regulatory compliance
- Experience with electronic health records system implementation and clinical workflows
Licenses, Registrations and Certifications
- Candidates for positions in this classification must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse from the Maryland Board of Nursing, 4140 Patterson Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland 21215 or possess a current multi-state license in party states that candidates have declared as primary states of residence.
- Employees in this classification may be required to successfully complete training and maintain current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
