THE POSITION:

STACK is seeking a Director, Legal to support the company’s legal needs in a wide range of business matters. The Director will assist in preparing, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and other legal documents, including data center lease agreements, real estate acquisition documents, energy procurement agreements, and non-disclosure agreements. This role will also provide day‑to‑day legal support to business teams across the organization and contribute to the company’s compliance, governance, and risk management initiatives.

This position will report to the General Counsel and work closely with other members of the Legal team to ensure consistency and efficiency in legal support across the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of contracts and agreements in support of STACK’s operations.
  • Provide legal advice and support to internal stakeholders on matters related to corporate governance, leasing, real estate, and commercial transactions.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on relevant business issues.
  • Assist in managing risk and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with external counsel on specialized matters as needed.
  • Support company‑wide initiatives such as ESG, compliance programs, and special projects as assigned.

THE DETAILS

  • Location: Denver, CO
  • Compensation: $215,000 – $225,000 base salary, plus 20% annual bonus potential

  • Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Background: Must pass comprehensive background screening

QUALIFICATIONS

  • JD from an ABA‑accredited law school required, with strong academic performance.
  • 2–5 years of professional legal experience as an attorney required; prior law firm experience preferred.
  • Member in good standing of the Colorado State Bar required (or ability to obtain admission).
  • Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
  • General corporate background; real estate or leasing experience a plus.
