Schedule:
- Full Time, 1.0 FTE, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
- Shifts are mainly Monday-Friday from 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM (evenings), with a rotation through 1 in 4 weekends
- Rotation through major winter and summer holiday blocks
- As with any position, schedules may change to meet business needs with adequate notice; services are daily from 7:00 AMโ9:00 PM (including weekends and holidays)
Pay: $21.49 โ $27.94 per hour, dependent on relevant experience

Pharmacy Admissions Specialist (Medication Reconciliation Technician) โ also known as Med Rec Tech at other institutions
Summary
Pharmacy Admissions Specialists (PAS) support the healthcare team by obtaining and documenting patientsโ home medications in the electronic health record. The role requires computer use, patient interaction for the entire shift, and comfort with entering patient rooms in the ED and on inpatient units. The incumbent should be comfortable calling patients by phone and prefer team members who are self-motivated to complete work at a fast pace with minimal supervision. Ideal candidates are those looking to stay in this position for several years.
This role does not include staffing within outpatient pharmacies (retail) or inpatient pharmacy (IV room, medication delivery, etc.).
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED
- Pharmacy Technician certification from Colorado Board of Pharmacy (PHAT)
- Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) by PTCB or equivalent
Preferred
- 2 years of Pharmacy Technician experience or 1 year of experience with CPhT certification
- Retail Pharmacy Experience
Responsibilities
- Interview patients and family members to obtain a valid list of home medications at admission
- Communicate with retail pharmacies, primary care physicians, and other resources to gather information and apply knowledge of appropriate/specific drugs within scope
- Accurately record information in the patientโs electronic health record in a timely manner and maintain accurate patient information
Within the scope of the job, requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
