Are you passionate about delivering an exceptional producer experience and serving as a trusted point of contact for their ongoing support needs? As a Producer Support Specialist, you will manage all aspects of support for producers, agencies, and brokerage houses, including licensing functions. In this role, you will serve as a liaison between external partners and internal teams, ensuring compliance with company and state regulations for licensing insurance personnel, and processing applications, appointments, renewals, and cancellations for agent licenses. Your work will strengthen relationships with external partners, ensure operational accuracy, and consistently enhance the overall producer experience.

The pay range for this position in Western Washington varies between $60,435.00 – $84,533.00, and Eastern Washington $56,145.00 – $78,532.00. Washington Dental Service and its affiliates intend to offer a base pay within this range, dependent on experience and location.

Essential Responsibilities include the following:

  • Manage end‑to‑end licensing and renewal processes for producers, agencies, and brokerage partners
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for licensing‑related inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate resolution
  • Maintain and audit producer records, including oversight of commission validation and reporting accuracy
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve licensing, contracting, and compliance issues efficiently
  • Communicate regulatory updates and deliver internal training on changes to licensing requirements
  • Ensure all licensing activities are conducted in accordance with company policies and state regulations
  • Identify and implement improvements to licensing workflows, systems, and data quality
  • Participate in client meetings and partner with account teams to support producer and agency relationships
  • Support upload and management of broker quotes into the CRM database, ensuring accuracy and accessibility
  • Monitor and report on licensing and broker quote metrics to leadership, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
  • Support and implement broker onboarding improvements to enhance efficiency, consistency, and producer experience
  • Stay up‑to‑date on industry regulations, licensing requirements, and best practices to proactively mitigate compliance risks

The experience, skills, and education needed to succeed:

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in customer service, account support, or operations, preferably within insurance or healthcare
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional, client‑focused approach
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, producers, agencies, and external partners
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and CRM systems such as Salesforce
  • Experience with producer licensing, appointments, and regulatory requirements; knowledge of state DOI or OIC guidelines is a plus
  • Strong understanding of compliance‑driven processes and regulatory environments
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements, and adopt new tools to enhance operational efficiency and the producer experience
  • Self‑motivated, adaptable, and able to work effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment
