We are seeking a Manager to join our consulting team. As a Manager, you will lead teams in addressing strategic challenges for leading healthcare providers, including hospitals, health systems, and academic medical centers. You will guide the development of innovative strategies, growth initiatives, and transformative partnerships that shape the future of healthcare. The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial, team-oriented, hands-on, and collaborative.
Responsibilities
This is a high-responsibility and high-impact role requiring the Manager to be a thought leader and problem-solver on the team. You will lead team efforts, work closely with the Partner and/or Principal, and maintain day-to-day client contact to ensure the project stays on track and drives impact. You will also liaise with internal senior leadership and manage day-to-day client relationships.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Lead problem structuring, analysis, and synthesis
- Lead the development of hypotheses to help clients solve innovation-related challenges
- Develop and execute a detailed work plan for the entire project
- Adapt to changing client needs and reset the team's direction as needed
- Oversee qualitative and quantitative research efforts
- Develop end-to-end documents with a logical storyline and flow
- Interact closely with client teams
- Prepare and own development of all client deliverables
- Lead client meetings including presenting key insights
- Contribute to business and firm development
- Support business development with principals and partners
- Mentor and develop junior team members
Required Experience
- Extensive experience as an external management consultant with a top consulting firm, specializing in delivering strategic solutions for healthcare provider clients.
- Proven leadership in engagements involving enterprise-level strategic planning, growth strategy, service line strategy, M&A and strategic partnerships/alliances, margin expansion, cost optimization, and related initiatives for healthcare providers.
- Deep healthcare provider industry expertise with hands-on experience serving hospital systems, academic medical centers, ambulatory surgery centers, integrated delivery networks, and physician groups/practices.
- Conceptual, strategic, and problem-solving skills with an ability to synthesize diverse information, apply flexible concepts, and think strategically using large-scale data and analytics.
- Exceptional engagement delivery with a track record of managing complex projects, creating clear work plans, and leading junior employees while delivering high-quality client results.
- Communication skills with strong ability to craft high-impact communications (proposals, presentations, workshops) and coach teams on visualizing complex information.
- Talent development skills with the ability to mentor and advance talented people, promote diversity, and contribute to a winning team culture.

- Travel and home office willingness to travel weekly (up to 80%) and to live anywhere within the contiguous United States near a major airport.
The estimated base salary range for this job is $190,000 - $220,000. This range is a good-faith estimate at the time of posting. Actual salary may vary based on skills, experience, and other factors. This role is eligible for Huron's annual incentive compensation program, and total compensation may range from $237,500 - $275,000 when including incentives. The role is eligible for Huron benefit plans, including medical, dental, and vision coverage and other wellness programs. Salary information complies with applicable laws and may be updated in the future.
