Work Location: Onsite at UCHealth Longs Peak Hospital and Longmont GI clinic (Longmont, CO)
Responsibilities
- Evaluation and management of GI disorders within the scope of a general gastroenterologist, including dysphagia, IBS/functional GI disorders, eosinophilic esophagitis, inflammatory bowel disease, abnormal liver function tests, pancreatitis, occult iron deficiency anemia.
- Interpretation of GI diagnostics and performance of routine endoscopic procedures (polypectomy, treatment of upper/lower GI bleeding, endoscopic dilation); capsule endoscopy interpretation; wireless pH capsule placement (Bravo); hydrogen breath testing.
- Procedural expertise in diagnostic ERCP and EUS as well as therapeutic ERCP and EUS.
- Onsite clinical duties: outpatient clinic and inpatient hospital consultations; nights/weekends call coverage as part of rotation (up to 8 weeks/year with Longmont CU GI group).
- Collaborate with patients, families, staff, consultants, and colleagues to provide high-quality patient care and service.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications by Rank
- Instructor : MD or DO; Board certification in Internal Medicine; Board certification or active board eligibility in Gastroenterology; active Colorado medical license or eligible; active DEA license on or before hire date.
- Senior Instructor : MD or DO; Board certification in Internal Medicine; Board certification or active board eligibility in Gastroenterology; active Colorado medical license or eligible; active DEA license on or before hire date.
- Assistant Professor : MD or DO; Board certification in Internal Medicine; Board certification or active board eligibility in Gastroenterology; active Colorado medical license or eligible; active DEA license on or before hire date.
- Associate Professor : MD or DO; Board certification in Internal Medicine; Board certification or active board eligibility in Gastroenterology; active Colorado medical license or eligible; active DEA license on or before hire date.
Preferred Qualifications
- Therapeutic Endoscopy training (ERCP, EUS) for all ranks.
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (e.g., Epic); ACLS and BLS certification.
- For higher ranks: progressive post-graduate GI clinical experience; prior academic appointment at corresponding rank; strong record of scholarship, teaching, and service; demonstrated ability to contribute to diversity and excellence in the academic community.

Compensation and Benefits
Anticipated Pay Range / Total Compensation
Total compensation (base + variable): $500,000 to $600,000.
