Overview
The Director of Corporate Partnerships is responsible for the strategic execution and management of National Church Residences signature fundraising special events such as the Golf Classic and Mission Day, as well as crowdsourcing activities associated with fundraising events. This position also directs stewardship, donor recognition, and department communication activities to internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the coordination of the organizationโs signature annual fundraising event, National Church Residences Golf Classic at Muirfield Village Golf Club.
- Oversee national and local Mission Day activities including encouraging and supporting Mission Day efforts by Housing and Senior Residential Living communities.
- Manage crowdsourcing and social media fundraising campaigns and other special events as assigned.
- Coordinate the employee giving campaign working closely with employee volunteers and committees.
- Create and implement an external communications plan for the department including the website, print and electronic materials, annual report as well as stewardship and recognition efforts.
- Strategically secure funds through sponsorships for events and community impact initiatives.
- Assist with developing effective communication and solicitation activities within specific focus markets.
- Create and execute a communications program supporting annual giving including donor updates, new/revised fundraising collateral pieces, donor stories, etc.
- Oversee the updating of donor recognition walls at assigned communities.
- Manage a prospect pool with annual goals for personal visits and giving outcomes.
Experience/Education
- A minimum of three years successful, hands-on fundraising experience and a demonstrated ability to design and manage special events and an understanding of annual giving programs. He/she needs to have the skills and experience to function independently and have a strong working knowledge of solicitation strategies, social media, donor relations, volunteerism, and communications.
- Strong organizational and administration skills involving fundraising and special events.
- Proficiency in fund raising principles and communications.
- Solid writing, editing, and presentation ability.
- Demonstrated skill in the identification, cultivation, and successful face-to-face solicitation of individuals, corporations, and foundations.
- Experience supporting and coordinating the work of volunteer committees.
- A working style that builds confidence in staff, promotes teamwork, enhances creativity, and builds consensus in a high-energy and high-task environment.
- A high tolerance for ambiguity and an ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
- Undergraduate degree required.
