Job Summary
The Warehouse Operations Manager will oversee and coordinate the daily warehousing activities. This will be a working supervisor position on the floor with their team performing the same tasks when not performing supervisor duties. In this role you will help to implement production, productivity, quality and customer requirements to achieve the appropriate level of volume within the SLA or time limits. Ultimately, you should be able to ensure that daily operations meet and exceed daily performance expectations and to increase the company's overall shipping standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Measuring and reporting the effectiveness of warehousing activities and employee's performance.
- Organize and maintain warehouse materials and supplies and promote cycle counting with team.
- Ensure shipment and location accuracy.
- Communicate job expectations and coach employees
- Determine staffing levels and assign workload
- Interface with office staff to answer questions or solve problems
- Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices.
- Confer and coordinate activities and staffing with other departments
- Ability to be agile and accommodate ever-changing shipping needs.
- Work daily with an RF Scanner as well as a warehouse management system.
- Additional duties as required.
Qualifications
- Ability to multi-task throughout the day.
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent work ethic and Lean mindset.
- Career oriented and self-starter attitude.
- Fast pace of play a must.
- Minimum of 10 years of previous warehouse or stock room experience in a team environment managing staff.
- Team or department lead experience.
- LEAN experience is a plus.
- Work efficiently with an RF Scanner as well as a warehouse management system.
- Forklift experience needed.
Day Shift Compensation
Up to $90,000 per year for highly qualified candidates.
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to) : $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 Per Year
