What You’ll Get to Do
The Vice President (VP) of IT Infrastructure is responsible for overseeing the organization’s technology backbone, including networks, telephone systems, datacenters, cloud migration initiatives, disaster recovery planning, and asset management. Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), the VP of IT Infrastructure leads a team of IT professionals, ensuring reliable, secure, stable, and scalable infrastructure to support business objectives.
- Network Management: Direct the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust network architecture to ensure high availability, security, and scalability.
- Telephony Oversight: Manage enterprise telephone solutions, including VoIP, unified communications, and call center technologies to support efficient business operations.
- Data Center Operations: Supervise the management and optimization of datacenter facilities, including hardware, software, and environmental controls, ensuring operational excellence and energy efficiency.
- Cloud Migrations: Lead strategic planning and execution of cloud migration projects, ensuring seamless integration, data integrity, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Disaster Recovery: Develop, implement, and routinely test disaster recovery and business continuity plans to safeguard critical systems and minimize downtime.
- Asset Management: Oversee lifecycle management of IT assets, including procurement, inventory control, maintenance, and disposition, ensuring cost efficiency and compliance.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and manage departmental staff, fostering a collaborative environment that promotes innovation and professional growth.
- Budget and Vendor Management: Administer infrastructure budgets and vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and overseeing service delivery.
- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with executive leadership to align infrastructure strategy with organizational goals and future growth.
- Program & Change Management: Own and account for delivering enterprise-wide infrastructure programs and priorities using best practices, compliance standards, and appropriate change management techniques.
- Cost Leadership: Assess overall infrastructure and creatively identify opportunities for cost optimization, including finding the right balance of FTE vs outsourcing, near‑shore, offshore mix.
- KPI-focused Leadership: Establish best practice KPIs to manage, measure, and evaluate global infrastructure performance against industry standards.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years’ progressive experience in IT infrastructure management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven success in managing multi‑site, multi‑continent, multi‑lingual teams.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- A hands‑on, capable of working in a fast‑paced entrepreneurial culture.
- A team player who can interrelate and operate effectively with peers and other associates.
- An active listener with superior oral, written, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- Self‑motivated, energetic, well‑grounded individual who possesses integrity and honesty and strives for excellence in all endeavors.
