🚀 Beverage Manager

Overview

Beverage Manager role at Major Food Group – Contessa, Boston.

This role is based at Contessa, the crown jewel of dining atop The Newbury Boston. The beverage program and guest experience are central to this position, with opportunities for advancement within the company.

Base pay range

$80,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr

Responsibilities

• Work under the direction of the Regional Beverage Manager and General Manager to manage daily operations of all beverage-related matters
• Ensure all beverage policies and service responsibilities are upheld
• Provide exemplary guest service and inspire the team to do the same
• Establish policies and procedures for beverage staff, including safety and personal hygiene
• Oversee efficient, cost-effective beverage operations (labor management, inventory control, security, and use of operating supplies and equipment)
• Supervise daily activities related to production and delivery of quality product/service
• Assist with beverage purchase requisitions and assemble beverage outlet orders in the storeroom for delivery to outlets
• Coach and counsel team members to ensure superior performance
• Attend departmental meetings and administrative hearings as required
• Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience in Beverage Management, lead Sommelier, or lead Bartender roles in a high-volume upscale restaurant
• Deep knowledge of spirits, wine, and all beverages
• Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Toast POS
• Proven team player, with leadership ability to perform duties as needed
• Highest standards of honesty, integrity, humility, and leadership
