🚀 Assistant/Associate Professor, Surgical Oncology, Endocrine Surgery

Overview

The Department of Surgery and the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor. Responsibilities include providing surgical services at Northwestern Medicine’s downtown Chicago locations and participating in broader cancer program initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide surgical services at Northwestern Medicine’s downtown Chicago locations.
• Train residents and participate in pre-op and post-op care in collaboration with the clinical team.
• Respond to daily local consultation requests and referrals.
• Engage in growth and coordination of care and other distinctive programming within the cancer program.
• Pursue leadership development opportunities within the Northwestern Medicine system.
• Hold a faculty appointment within the Division of Surgical Oncology of Northwestern University.

Qualifications

• Qualified candidates will have completed a fellowship in Endocrine Surgery or Surgical Oncology with a strong background in endocrine surgery.
• Board-certified or eligible in general surgery.
• Expected to participate in academic programs of the Feinberg School of Medicine, including educational programs (e.g., training, preceptorship, mentoring) and/or research programs.
