Background and company context: Skanska has a long history as a global construction and project development company, with operations in multiple markets and a broad portfolio of projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Engineering Department to perform all engineering functions in accordance with company procedures and applicable engineering standards.
- Provide technical engineering input for estimating and bid proposals.
- Interpret external codes, regulations, and specifications; provide value engineering direction for company engineering activities.
- Sign and seal engineering design packages.
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, Plaxis, CivilTech, STAAD.Pro, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in construction engineering and/or engineering design for projects of varying size, scope, and delivery methods.
- Experience with pile template design, temporary shoring, shoring of excavation, formwork & falsework, barge stability calculations, pile hammer wave equations, and general marine engineering.
- Professional Engineering licenses in the region.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience with minimum 7 years of relevant experience; Structural or Geotechnical discipline preferred.
- Masters Degree preferred.
