🚀 Senior CAD Technician – Bridges & Civil Structures

Overview

Senior CAD Technician – Bridges & Civil Structures – Denver, CO. AtkinsRéalis is seeking a candidate to join our team. This role focuses on delivering CAD-driven design and project support within the Structures Group.

Responsibilities

• Lead CAD work within the Structures Group and manage the CAD staff, directing tasks and efforts.
• Use CAD systems including MicroStation and OpenBridge Designer.
• Enter data into CAD to generate construction drawings, renderings, report graphics, interior drawings, or other digital images.
• Develop, organize, and prepare complex layouts, drawings, and designs from written/verbal specifications or rough sketches, converting paper documents into computerized files.
• Develop and maintain standards and symbols to meet project needs; write procedures and share them with CAD users inside and outside the department.
• Produce design options on screen or in print to assist in resolving a design concept not yet fully defined.
• Redesign or modify existing designs using CAD.
• Perform mathematical calculations necessary to complete design tasks.
• Check final drawings on screen for completeness, clarity, and accuracy.
• Troubleshoot CAD production technologies, and provide intermediate training to technical personnel.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience as a bridge detailer (progressive drafting and design experience).
• Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD required.
• Experience using CAD tools such as MicroStation, 3D OpenBridge, Civil 3D, BIM and/or Revit is a plus.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Compensation

Expected compensation range is between $71,000 - $105,000+ annually, depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
